With the creation of the Douro Trading Centre in 1986, it becomes possible ageing and exporting Port Wine directly from the Douro Region, which was only possible until then, through the Vila Nova de Gaia Trading Centre. With this changing, Castelinho began the creation of its own brands and a few years later it has become one of the biggest Douro producers exporting directly from the Douro Demarcated Region. With the creation of Castelinho Vinhos Company in 1990, began a new era, with the foundation of new companies for the production and trade of Port and Douro quality wines.
